The 公开课 is a class that teacher use it to show theirs teaching level. For example, If some leaders from Education Supervision Departments want to check a school’s teaching level, teachers should proceed a 公开课 to show it.

Except this case, some school also organize some 公开课 periodly. And teachers can exchange their teaching experience. Just like a presentation.
